PAYROLL ASSOCIATE

We are seeking a Payroll Associate to support our Pittsburgh, PA office.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Provide data entry support that is required to update and maintain the integrity of the information in both the payroll and timekeeping systems.
  • Reconcile Payroll reports.
  • Make payments timely and accurately.
  • Enter deduction arrears for any amounts due from employees.
  • Be responsible for payroll taxes and fringe reporting.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
  • Friendly demeanor, professional and businesslike dress and attitude.
  • Ability to multi-task and to complete work assignments with interruptions.
  • Demonstrated advanced level proficiency in Microsoft office skills (Excel, Word).
  • Experience with Vista/Viewpoint experience a plus.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
  • Associates in Accounting/Business
  • 1 year experience in business department using accounting software spreadsheet and database tools
  • Excellent written communication skills.  Proficiency with computers, particularly Microsoft Office applications, including the ability to type.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of diverse individuals.
  • The ability to work efficiently under tight time frames, the ability to respond to requests in a timely manner, and effective communication as a team player.
  • Understanding of the importance of multi-tasking.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting/Business.
  • Experience working with payroll software.
  • Certified Payroll Professional.
  • Vista/Viewpoint software experience
